My heart beats faster
I am ecstatic
The few seconds
To reach my laptop
Seem like an eternity
Inspiration hits me
In flashes
All of you who write
From the heart
Would resonate
It comes out of
Nowhere and stays
Stays with me for a poem or ten
I can never tell
From where or for how long
It is hard to stop
Until I get all the words out
No editing
No spell check
Just raw emotion
The best of my pieces
Are written like this
In a haste
With errors and flaws
Yet perfect
Reading them later
Takes me by surprise
The words seem
Too good to be mine
